Sustainability
Initiatives for a Sustainable Future
We provide suitable food additive solutions that help reduce food loss and extend the shelf-life of processed foods, contributing to a sustainable society.
Achieve Sustainability by Making Effective Use of Underused Resources
In collaboration with domestic and overseas universities and businesses, we are working on joint research aiming at upcycling underused resources and developing value-added food materials. Together with Niigata University and the University of Tokyo, we are advancing our “Science of Palatability” initiative. We are now working with the Can Tho University(Vietnam)in Vietnam to develop seasonings from the food resources of the Mekong Delta region.

Reduce Food Loss by Extending Shelf Life
As part of our efforts to reduce food loss, we are proactively working on extending the shelf life of our products. Through sensory testing and other scientific evaluations, we provide seasoning recipes that improve the shelf life of products. We also frequently review packaging technology and production methods to provide the best solutions for our customers’ needs.

Promote the Use of Eco-Friendly Packaging Materials
We provide total solutions supporting our customers’ product development, from packaging materials to packaging equipment that is compatible with their production processes. We also offer eco-friendly products such as recyclable containers and biomass plastic containers that are made from organic resources such as plants.

Contribute to Local Communities and Society
We offer real work experience programs for junior high and high school students in Niigata, giving them the opportunity to think about work through the development of food products and visits to production sites. We also participate in local events, valuing co-living with the local communities.
